Light it Up - Short Film - Review - Indie Shorts Mag - Featured

“Light it up” is a fiction which takes us into the world of dreams. Cam Tam has been able to create a dream and successfully show it to her audience. The film is based on an unusual, but sweet dream where the dreamer is looking for the light which would make his dream more beautiful. Every dream is distinct in its own way and so is this one. The vividness and aesthetic value of the film is what makes this dream come true.

Light it Up - Short Film - Review - Indie Shorts Mag -1

The film starts with the dreamer waking up surrounded by many light bulbs in his dream. He tries to light them up, but only one of the light bulb amongst the many fits in. The dreamer is happy and joyous when he fills up the room with a bright light. The way in which a happy dream is created by the filmmaker is admirable. The film ends with a visually pleasing scene which has been brilliantly shot with all the glowing colors, finally lighting up the dream.

The film is written and directed by Cam Tam and produced by Mallika Sheikh. Cam Tam has done a great job directing the film. The story is also good and unique. The film is nicely edited by Leah Burton. The sound designer, Dan Mantell has done a great job complementing the film with his soundtracks. The Performance given by Shaun Mendum as the dreamer looks good and has originality to it.

If you ask me, I loved the last scene of the film with all the glowing colors which tells us that his dream finally comes true. A beautiful film delivered by Cam Tam which would surely interest you and please you with its aesthetics.

I wish best of luck to the team of “Light it up”.

It’s Car Tam not Cam Tam. It’s even written correctly in the beginning. Please proofread your articles before you publish them to avoid silly mistakes like this in the future.
