A Celebration of Independent Filmmaking

Being named an Official Selection is a recognition of the dedication, imagination, and persistence behind every film. We understand that a short film is rarely created by a single person. It is shaped by writers, directors, producers, performers, cinematographers, editors, composers, crew members, supporters, and loved ones who believe in the story being told.

To every selected filmmaker and creative team: congratulations. Your work stood out for its originality, craft, emotional power, and commitment to the art of cinema. We are proud to welcome you to the Indie Shorts Mag Short Film Festival 2026.

To those whose films were not selected this year, we offer our sincere thanks and appreciation. The selection process is always difficult, and every submission represents meaningful creative effort. We hope you will continue making films, sharing stories, and submitting your work to festivals around the world.

What Happens Next

Selected filmmakers will receive additional correspondence regarding festival updates, promotional opportunities, screening information, and the next stages of the 2026 edition.

The Official Selection is only the beginning of the journey. As we approach the festival, we look forward to spotlighting these impressive films and the filmmakers behind them.
