The Toronto festival’s newly unveiled selection spans horror, science fiction, Indigenous storytelling and offbeat comedy.
Blood in the Snow has revealed its 2026 line-up, bringing 61 films to Toronto’s Isabel Bader Theatre from 16–21 November. The festival reports 11 world premieres across its selection.
Shorts take the early-evening slots
Four dedicated short-film programmes screen at 7pm local time:
- 16 November: Dark Visions, ten horror shorts.
- 17 November: Monsters & Martians, nine science-fiction shorts.
- 18 November: Bloody Spirits of Winter, eight Indigenous, Métis and Inuit shorts.
- 19 November: Funny Frights & Unusual Sights, twelve shorts.
A separate web-series showcase, BITS and BYTES, follows on 21 November at 4pm. Both that programme and Bloody Spirits of Winter offer ASL interpretation and open captions.
Planning a visit
For short-film audiences, the themed strands offer a clear route through Canadian genre filmmaking. The published programme links directly to tickets; check individual sessions before booking travel.
Submissions are closed. Horror Development Lab participants are still to be announced, making that the next development for industry readers to watch.
