Ryan Reynolds’s Short Film With Armani to be out in February 2019 - Short Film News - Indie Shorts Mag

Come February 2019 and we’ll see Ryan Reynolds in the short film, directed by Reed Morano of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ (2017) fame, for Code Absolu, the signature Armani Code fragrance franchise. An aficionado of the scent himself, Reynolds believes that the timelessness of the brand carries a cinematic appeal in itself.

Reed Morano, the talented, Emmy-award winning filmmaker who has directed the short, has been one of the directors Reynolds has been looking forward to working with. Announcing the completion of the film’s shooting on his Instagram handle, Reynolds is bullish that the fun he had filming it, would translate to the screen and audience!

Just finished a short film for @armanibeauty directed by the impossibly talented @ReedMorano. I love working with the #ArmaniCode team. I hope to eventually call Mr. Armani, “Papa”. But let’s take this one day at a time.

A post shared by Ryan Reynolds (@vancityreynolds) on Jan 8, 2019 at 5:38am PST

His earlier advertisement on Aviation Gin was more than well received! Being the face of Armani seems only the next right thing to do. Reynolds states that shooting for a short film is no different from working on a feature-length, except that the fun one has in its process is timed shorter. His association with Armani comes from his peculiar association with scent. As he best put it, scent always stays on the psyche, as will this film!

Come back for more updates on the short film and its release date!
